Brain DEAD! That's all i can muster to utter at this point in time. 3 hours of math and 2 hours of chem, with only a 1 hour break to bathe/eat/ rest... AND not forgetting how i dragged myself out of bed at 9 to complete the papers. (note: I usually sleep till 10 or later.)
Life. How interesting... I can't wait for the monotony and routine to end. sigh.

One more week left of what is officially known as the June Holidays. Like real. I have been trying to stuff more info into my puny brain. Not working, I am telling you. My learning curve is like the rate of reaction vs substrate concentration curve, in the presence of a fixed amount of enzymes. The graph plateaus off after a certain concentration. Wait. Maybe the graph of rate of reaction when the temperature increases is a more accurate representation. The rate of reactions just decreases after the optimum temperature is reached... BAH.
Well, the World Cup IS on. I guess that is quite interesting. It must be quite cool to actually be there watching it, and actually see your country compete. I guess it is a weird sense of national pride that we will not get a taste of, not now, not in the near future.

More work beckons. I don't feel like writing... or talking. I just want to rot and read. R&R.

Random musings
I am officially 16 years and 364 days old today. Yes. I guess I was too busy preparing for GP CT and the likes to remember. Rather tragic. But I guess the novelty of celebrating birthdays has worn off over the years...
Well, this past year has been as SWEET as lemon (before you wonder why I made such an analogy, let me point out that it is meant to be sarcastic.) I guess it has been an eventful year, and in retrospect, God has taught me a lot of lessons. Lessons of love, trust and faith. It is not easy, and it never will be.

Sigh. Some guys can cook...

Quizzes and tests
You Are a Blue Flower
A blue flower tends to represent peace, openness, and balance.
At times, you are very delicate like a cornflower.
And at other times, you are wise like an iris.
And more than you wish, you're a little cold, like a blue hydrangea.

You Are Mud Pie
You're the perfect combo of flavor and depth
Those who like you give into their impulses

If it is any consolation, my skin colour is quite similar... well, approaching that colour.

Your Career Type: Investigative
You are precise, scientific, and intellectual.
Your talents lie in understanding and solving math and science problems.

You would make an excellent:

Architect - Biologist - Chemist
Dentist - Electrical Technician - Mathematician
Medical Technician - Meteorologist - Pharmacist
Physician - Surveyor - Veterinarian

The worst career options for your are enterprising careers, like lawyer or real estate agent.

Mirth and laughter
"Do not judge men by mere appearances; for the light laughter that bubbles on the lip often mantles over the depths of sadness, and the serious look may be the sober veil that covers a divine peace and joy." E.H. Chapin
Solitude. Give me my corner in the room and let me ponder about life. Like, why do people laugh and smile? And when people laugh, do they laugh at you, or with you?

OK. I NEED SLEEP.

Finally! SPAs over for this term. But the much-dreaded GP CT is looming ominously in the background.
Fx had their screening of a french concert yesterday. One of the rare times the twins would actually share their precious DVDs. But I understand why they wouldn't. All I can say is that some people have such wonderful voices. Never mind that I did not understand what was being sung (neither did jr anyway...). Some people can really sing. Or should it be "could"... I could sense that some pple were melting under his gaze... *coughs*

This is rather random, but banana muffins are nice!

Can't find nice songs or quotes to post. Ivana did not like the last song I posted... Well, that song has to be sung by the right person otherwise it will sound cheesy. Speaking of good singers, (and I was reminded of it by Ivana's post :D), there is a new Brit boy that sings like JBM -- Joseph McManners. JBM sounds better of course, but the boy is only about, say, 12? He has at least 1-2 years to sound mature before his voice breaks. But they sure did package him in a similar manner. Big doleful eyes (as jr says), he is blonde and young...

Animax is finally showing GA epi 16. Thanks HWEE for taping it and lending it to me! :D. I still don't really like mikan, as everyone else is sooooooo nice to her... sheesh. She gets nice senpais, weird friends, cool teachers, and natsume, ruka and possibly iinchou. I only get weird friends.

I love the rain! It doesn't rain but it pours.

A Sinatra song. <3

Some day, when I'm awfully low,
When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you...
And the way you look tonight.

Yes you're lovely, with your smile so warm
And your cheeks so soft,
There is nothing for me but to love you,
And the way you look tonight.

With each word your tenderness grows,
Tearing my fear apart...
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
It touches my foolish heart.

Lovely ... Never, ever change.
Keep that breathless charm.
Won't you please arrange it ?
'Cause I love you ... Just the way you look tonight.

Ivana inspired me to do quizzes. Yes, I am quite bored. Well, the quizzes are more interesting than plant anatomy so...
You Belong in Amsterdam
A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam.
Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city).

You Should Learn Swedish
Fantastisk! You're laid back about learning a language - and about life in general.
Peaceful, beautiful Sweden is ideal for you... And you won't even have to speak perfect Swedish to get around!

YES! One day, I shall move to Europe...

You Are Boston
Both modern and old school, you never forget your roots.
Well educated and a little snobby, you demand the best.
And quite frankly, you think you are the best.

Famous people from the Boston area: Conan O'Brien, Ben Affleck, New Kids on the Block

LOL!

You Are A Lily
You are a nurturer and all around natural therapist.
People see you as their rock. And they are able to depend on you.
You are a soothing influence. You can make people feel better with a few words.
Your caring has more of an impact than even you realize.

I suppose lilies are better than chrysanthemums...

Your 1920's Name is:
Georgette Evangeline

Hilarious! Look at the picture. ><

Your Japanese Name Is...
Hoshiko Kato

Soudesu ne...

Your French Name is:
Pauline Barnabe

You Should Get a MD (Doctor of Medicine)
You're both compassionate and brilliant - a rare combination.
You were born to be a doctor.

HAHA. Compassionate? I have my doubts. Brilliant? Of course...

You Have a Melancholic Temperament
Introspective and reflective, you think about everything and anything.
You are a soft-hearted daydreamer. You long for your ideal life.
You love silence and solitude. Everyday life is usually too chaotic for you.

Given enough time alone, it's easy for you to find inner peace.
You tend to be spiritual, having found your own meaning of life.
Wise and patient, you can help people through difficult times.

At your worst, you brood and sulk. Your negative thoughts can trap you.
You are reserved and withdrawn. This makes it hard to connect to others.
You tend to over think small things, making decisions difficult.

Today was quite a nice day. I love the rain. It makes me feel depressed, but happy at the same time, like i am happy that i am depressed. I know I am not making much sense here. It just goes to prove that I am my intellect is deteriorating, as (1) I can't spell, (2) my grammar is in a mess, (3) my vocab has become rather limited and now (4) my logical powers of reasoning leaves much to be desired. Today is such a wonderful day to mope...
I want to do something real cool and fun! Ok, that totally does NOT make sense. Someone save me...

"'...And so in mountain solitudes o'ertaken
As by some spell divine

Their cares drop from them like the needles shaken

From out the gusty pine ...'

They make our little ambitions seem rather petty, don't they?" ~quoted

I guess I have to learn to be content with my lot. There are other issues that are more important, and people have more pressing problems than the ones I face, I suppose ... but...

Blogging using poems and quotes is so fun. Let me end off with another...

"She told herself that she longed greatly to go back to those dear merry days when life was seen through a rosy mist of hope and illusion, and possessed an indefinable something that had passed away forever. Where was it now -- the glory and the dream?"

Wednesday, April 12, 200608:57 p.m.

Wordsworth: THERE was a time when meadow, grove, and stream, The earth, and every common sight, To me did seem Apparelled in celestial light, The glory and the freshness of a dream. It is not now as it hath been of yore;-- Turn wheresoe'er I may, By night or day, The things which I have seen I now can see no more. The Rainbow comes and goes, And lovely is the Rose, The Moon doth with delight Look round her when the heavens are bare, Waters on a starry night Are beautiful and fair; The sunshine is a glorious birth; But yet I know, where'er I go, That there hath past away a glory from the earth.

A DAY OFF

LET us put awhile away

All the cares of work-a-day,

For a golden time forget,

Task and worry, toil and fret,

Let us take a day to dream

In the meadow by the stream.

We may lie in grasses cool

Fringing a pellucid pool,

We may learn the gay brook-runes

Sung on amber afternoons,

And the keen wind-rhyme that fills

Mossy hollows of the hills.

Where the wild-wood whisper stirs

We may talk with lisping firs,

We may gather honeyed blooms

In the dappled forest glooms,

We may eat of berries red

O'er the emerald upland spread.

We may linger as we will

In the sunset valleys still,

Till the gypsy shadows creep

From the starlit land of sleep,

And the mist of evening gray

Girdles round our pilgrim way.

We may bring to work again

Courage from the tasselled glen,

Bring a strength unfailing won

From the paths of cloud and sun,

And the wholesome zest that springs

From all happy, growing things.
